Freestanding Globe Bar Freestanding Globe Bar

These "globe bars" are replicas of originals from the 17th century, when rich gentlemen liked to discuss the world - and perhaps their next voyage of discovery - over a glass or two of something special. Now difficult to find (and very unusual), they are beautiful centrepieces that will always be a talking point, whether being used to served drinks or not. The maps, with their delightful illustrations of sea monsters, landmarks and foreign peoples, are fascinating and reveal a great deal about the thinking of the time. Please be careful though, as mid-1600's positioning errors are reproduced too (not to be used for reference or navigation)! Some simple self-assembly required, glasses and bottles not supplied.

Height 38", overall diameter 26".

UK Delivery Only

Price:   £495.00

Navy Toasts Tankard Navy Toasts Tankard

A Sheffield-made pewter tankard featuring traditional naval toasts.

Trafalgar Tankard Trafalgar Tankard

A Sheffield-made pewter tankard featuring an engraved image of Lord Nelson's attack on the fleets of France and Spain at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Nearly 100 vessels are portrayed with each of the British ships named and positioned in the station she took on the day.

There is a panel for engraving up to three initials free of charge.

King's Shilling Tankard King's Shilling Tankard

A genuine old British King's Shilling is sandwiched within the double-glass bottom of this classic design pewter tankard. Engraved on the side is the story of how press gangs tricked men into committing themselves to service by passing the coin to them in a tankard of ale. In the 18th century, a glass bottomed tankard was invented to help spot the danger.

There is a panel for up to 10 letters of engraving.

Price:   £34.95

Porthole Flask Porthole Flask

The glass porthole let into this Sheffield pewter hip flask serves two purposes: so that the etching of HMS Victory inside the flask can be viewed; and (perhaps more important!) to check how much of the favoured tipple remains. Fits easily in a jacket pocket.

Diameter 3.75", height 4". Capacity 140ml

Price:   £34.95
